Broccoli Beard

No one ever told me that your baby would start being a picky eater at 11 months old! How at this age dose she already know what veggies look like?  Well Heather up until a few weeks ago was an awesome eater- she'd eat anything we put on her plate- now if its green she wont touch it until I make her try it- then of corse she decides she likes it and gobbles it so fast that it becomes a broccoli beard!  I need some good new ideas of food that are healthy that you can feed a 11 mo old that she'll eat beside cheese and crackers!

Haha- that is so cute. Kennedy has always been a VERY picky eater. Luckily she's always liked at least 1 or 2 things from each food group that we rotate through. It gets so frustrating trying to get them to TRY new foods. Good luck with that.

I have the same problem, except Parker didn't get picky until 12 months! I still force him to eat the things he doesn't like by mixing it in with other foods! I have to keep reminding myself that I can out smart a baby!

Hey! My mom has this recipe book about how to secretly feed your children veggies... I bet you can google it.

MY kids seem to get it the worst at 2 years...then they don't even try it...there's no making a two yer old do anything! I guess they have to show their independence somehow. :)Welcome to toddler hood! :O)

Clara still loves anything. I'm crossing my fingers she'll stay that way!

Ok, so I'm finally getting around to telling you about the tutu, sorry.
I just cut the tulle into 12 inch strips, longer than I wanted her skirt to be (I trimmed it at the end to make it even). Then I took some elastic and cut it a little smaller than her waist, it gets stretched out a little in the process. Anyway, I just would pull the elastic taut as I would shove tulle under the presser foot as fast as I could, so that it would gather. Then I just kept layering until the skirt was full enough, trying to keep it even. It gets a little wild, but then I trimmed the tulle to the right length, it was uneven from me frantically shoving it under the presser foot.
I'm sure there are better ways of doing it, but that's how I did it, and it turned out surprisingly well. Hope that helps!

Cami! Your blog is so cute. It was so fun to look at. Heather is adorable. It made me excited for Kayley to get older. She is so fun right now, but our schedule basically consists of sleeping and eating at this point so I'm looking forward to when she has some more awake time and I can get to know her personality a little bit more. I just started a blog this week. The link is http://nathanandashleyhall.blogspot.com. I hope you are doing well!!
